SDS SHORTLISTED FOR TECHFEST PRODUCT INNOVATION OF THE YEAR

SDS is a finalist for ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ at the TechFest Awards 2026, recognising the company’s innovative Intellistorm® and SYMBiotIC™ smart rainwater management solution.

The shortlisting places Intellistorm® among the very top leading developments being considered in this year’s Awards, which celebrate technological advancement and innovation across the built environment and infrastructure sectors.

Intellistorm® is designed to bring a smarter, more distributed approach to rainwater management, helping to address the challenges associated with managing surface water through intelligent, networked infrastructure.

The recognition reflects SDS Infrastructure’s focus on developing practical technology that can support more resilient and sustainable approaches to water management. With its unique capacity to singularly address the dual concerns of too much or too little water, Intellistorm® has already been introduced in hundreds of sites around the UK across a diverse range of industries.

Evidence of the technology in continued use has also played a significant role in encouraging anticipated, imminent changes to legislation in England that will facilitate the wider use of recycled rainwater for non-potable purposes and reduce pressure on growing water scarcity concerns.
