SDS exhibited at Water, Wastewater & Environmental Monitoring (WWEM) Expo, part of the Environmental Services & Solutions (ESS) Expo, at the NEC Birmingham last week, bringing together professionals from across the water, wastewater and environmental sectors to explore the technologies and solutions shaping the future of water management.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet customers, partners, industry professionals and new contacts, and to discuss the challenges facing the sector — from flood resilience and water quality to water scarcity, environmental protection and the increasing need for smarter infrastructure.
A key theme throughout the event was the growing importance of data, monitoring and intelligent control in helping the sector manage water more effectively. As infrastructure comes under increasing pressure from climate change, population growth and tighter environmental expectations, there is a clear shift towards systems that can do more than simply store, treat or convey water.
The conversations at WWEM reinforced the importance of connecting physical infrastructure with digital intelligence — enabling water systems to be monitored, managed and optimised in response to changing conditions.
For SDS, this sits at the heart of our approach to sustainable water infrastructure. By bringing together flood prevention, environmental protection and drought mitigation with smart monitoring and control, we are continuing to explore how water can be managed more intelligently across its entire lifecycle.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and took the time to speak with the SDS team. It was a pleasure to share ideas, discuss challenges and hear different perspectives from across the industry.
We look forward to building on the conversations started at WWEM and continuing to work with our customers and partners to develop smarter, more resilient and more sustainable approaches to water management.
We look forward to seeing you again in 2027, if not sooner.
