SDS surface water attenuation schemes help prevent flooding by removing the threat of excess volumes of uncontrolled runoff from overloading farms’ premises, drainage infrastructure, agricultural land and downstream river catchments.
In addition to providing increased flood mitigation, SDS smart-enabled rainwater harvesting and recycling systems provide a free source of non-potable water that is suitable for irrigating crops and fields and for feeding livestock, thereby avoiding the rising costs of abstraction from natural river and borehole supplies, and providing a sustainable, robust and climate-resilient supply.
